On our English pages, you often see the word "relationships". This is just sanitized language. On our English pages, "relationships" refers to what couples, when not sleeping, do in bed. Or, if so inclined, on the kitchen table.

English is a rather hypocritical language. Many words for natural bodily functions and processes have dirty connotations, and polite speakers like us have to go to considerable length to communicate meanings without naming them. But we nevertheless hope you get the point.

Tongkatali.org's A gentle society, on practical, not moral grounds

By Serge Kreutz

All moral values are perceived values. They are arbitrary. The moral values of current democratic societies are no more correct than the moral values of slave-holding ancient Rome, or of a cannibal Melanesian society 200 years ago. They are just different.

Kreutz Ideology advocates a comfortable death, and before that, during one’s lifetime, optimal relationships.

People don’t want to suffer. And they don’t want people to suffer for whom they have positive feelings. They normally also don’t like to see animals suffer. And they wish for a comfortable death for all of the above, including themselves.

People have a lot of good reason to prefer a gentle society for themselves and all of those for whom they care. To justify this wish, no morals are needed. People do not have to wish for a gentle society because such a society would be morally correct, but for practical reasons, because it suits them.

Tongkat ali and butea superba effects on health

By Serge Kreutz

So far, no explicit negative impact of tongkat ali and butea superba on general health has been established.

But what are negative impacts?

Take for example the habit of smoking tobacco. That has a very clear negative effect on health. Tobacco causes lung cancer and, of course, erectile dysfunction.

Or take alcohol. Alcohol causes liver damage, dementia, and, of course, erectile dysfunction.

Nothing like lung cancer or dementia to fear with tongkat ali or butea superba. And, of course, no erectile dysfunction.

Time to change your life, if so far you haven't.

No more tobacco, no more alcohol, but tongkat ali and butea superba, and, of course, great relationships.

You don't have to worry about negative health effects from tongkat ali or butea superba. The two, consumed at normal dosages, if anything, may make your life longer, not shorter.

Look at some famous tongkat ali users, such as Malaysian prime minister Dr. Mahathir MD.

Or take alcohol. Alcohol causes liver damage, dementia, and, of course, erectile dysfunction.

He is a medical doctor, a tongkat ali advocate, and 93. At age 92, when most people are fully decomposed, he was elected prime minister of Malaysia in a democratic exercise... as opposition candidate.

Buying tongkat ali

By Serge Kreutz

So you have decided to try some tongkat ali. But before buying, some important decisions are to be made.

Do you want tongkat ali roots, or do you want tongkat ali extract?

If you buy roots, the cost of shipping will be much higher than the roots themselves.

Brewing your own tea will also be time-consuming.

If you want extract, you first have to decide whether you want genuine tongkat ali or fake tongkat ali?

Unfortunately, more than 90 percent of all tongkat ali extract on the market is simply fake.

There are two kinds of fakes:

1. those that are any root powder or plant, mostly tribulus terrestris. These simply have no effect at all.

2. powders laced with sildenafil analogues, often at high dosages. These have an effect, just like Viagra has. But it's not the hormonal effect of tongkat ali. It's an effect of sildenafil, tadalafil, or vardenafil. And unfortunately, these fakes regularly kill users.

xxxxxxxxxx

Tongkat ali is a root, and as such, it consists mostly of cellulose. Cellulose is not a pharmacologically active substance. The pharmacologically active ingredients only form a very small part of the root.

The raw root, whether powdered or chipped, is not fit for human consumption. This is not just the case because humans cannot digest cellulose but also because the raw root often is infested with fungi and bacteria, some of which are harmful. This is absolutely normal for anything that grows underground. Is there anything humans would pull out of the soil and consume uncooked?

Raw root powder is commonly sold in Malaysia as well as in the US, both in brick-and-mortar shops and by Internet retailers.

There is, of course, nothing wrong with root powder or chipped root, as long as you know how to handle it.

If you do not buy a ready-made extract, you have to prepare the root powder or chipped root as your own extract. This can be a liquid extract or a dry one. If you prepare a liquid extract, you will have to consume a lot of fluid to get a proper dosage. Producing your own dry extract will take a lot of time.

Root powder in capsules is nonsense because one should not ingest raw tongkat ali root, even not if it is packaged in gelatin capsules. The most likely effect of ingesting raw root powder is diarrhea, caused by salmonella bacteria. And if you are unlucky, you get a strain that causes typhoid fever.

Tongkat ali is so bitter, and tastes so lousy, that the only way one can ingest a proper dosage is to get it down as quickly as possible. Capsules of dried tongkat ali extract are a good solution because extract is concentrated, and you can swallow the tongkat ali without tasting it.

The only problem with dried extract in capsules is that you are easily cheated. It is very difficult to check yourself whether you actually get tongkat ali extract, or just tongkat ali root powder, or something else altogether.

Tongkat ali root has to be boiled, and before being boiled. Use about half a liter of water for 50 gram of root powder or chipped root. 50 gram of root powder or chipped root will yield about 2 normal dosages, or a single dosage for an experienced user or a bodybuilding athlete.

I know what I’m talking about because I did make my own extract. I did so because I am a suspicious character, and so that I could write about it.

I used 500 gram of chipped root, soaked in 5 liter of water for 24 hours. I brought the whole thing to a boil, and then filtered the water. I then left the 5 liters of water for almost 2 days on an electric stove with heat control (about 50 centigrade) until I got a thick sap. I further heated the sap in an electric oven (about 40 centigrade) and then got a rather hard crust. Working this crust through an electric coffee mill, I ended up with about 10 gram of powdered extract. Which means: an extract of the strength 1:50. 10 dosages out of 500 gram.

I discussed this extraction process with two German pharmacists and the assistants of a plant analytical laboratory of a university. They all assured me that mine has been a proper extraction process.

There isn’t much technology to preparing water-based extracts. The solvent has to be water, and just water, otherwise the result would not be an aqueous (water) extract. In proper extracting facilities, they have integrated machines that speed up the evaporation by doing it under high pressure, or by other means. Some companies that sell such evaporating equipment have patents on these machines.

But if a website claims that they have patented the extraction by water of tongkat ali, then that’s bulls. They just want you to believe that their extract is special (so that you won’t buy somewhere else), and that it justifies an inflated price.

Tongkat ali has been researched well, though not in full. But one thing is certain: the traditional use is as an aqueous extract (extraction by water, as in tea or coffee), and that way, it has been used in Southeast Asia for hundreds of years.

Other extraction possibilities would be by ethanol (alcohol) or chloroform, and a plethora of other chemical solvents. But such extracts have only been tested recently, and only one thing is clear: their LD50 values are much worse than those for aqueous extract. I would not experiment with tongkat ali extracts in which the solvent has been anything but water.

Extract strength is another critical topic. I know from my own experiments that 100 grams of root yield a dried extract of 2 gram. So, 1:50 seems to be genuine strength of an aqueous extract.

Of course, 1:100 sounds much sexier. But who is to check on such claims? Even if a new trader should decide to proclaim that his extract is 1:1000, who is going to examine whether the claim is true?

A 1:100 extract, or one that is proclaimed to be 1:1000, doesn’t necessarily contain more active ingredients. In order to turn a 1:50 extract into one that is 1:100, I really just have to discard half of the 1:50 extract. I can do so by passing it through a smaller mesh, which will just remove the coarser part of the ground crust I got from drying the aqueous extract.

Thus, turning a 1:50 extract into a 1:100 extract means just that they sell half the extract, probably for double the price. It says NOTHING about the efficacy of the extract.

Furthermore, there are justified suspicions that what is sold as 1:100 extract may only be root powder. I have seen documents on the FDA website (www.fda.gov) that show that people marketing 1:100 extract capsules have just applied for a registration of tongkat ali powder in capsule form, not of extract in capsules. To see these documents on www.fda.gov, please use their search engine and enter the search term “eurycoma”. The scientific, Latin name of tongkat ali is eurycoma longifolia, and official documents deal with the plant under this name. Do not search for “tongkat ali”, as this will not get you to the FDA correspondence about the product which is sold as 1:100. A search for the combined name, “eurycoma longifolia”, doesn’t seem to work well on the FDA site. It is best to just search for “eurycoma” only.

I also cannot recommend purchasing from Internet spam sites.

Their expertise is not tongkat ali but Internet marketing. They know how to force their own site(s) to the top of search engine rankings, and then hunt sales commissions from the manufacturers whose products they promote. This is why the information they provide is not their own but just taken from other sites (like mine) and then more or less reworded.

I believe that it makes sense to buy tongkat ali or tongkat ali extract at the origin. From a company whose product is tongkat ali, and not from a company whose product is Internet marketing, and who will sell any merchandise for which they can get a high search engine ranking.

Tongkatali.org's Growth hormone

By Serge Kreutz

I have tried almost every medication that has been reported to have relationships side effects. When I achieved no clear relationships effect from testosterone, I even tried female birth control pills. Not recommended.

Information on growth hormone on the Internet typically is of two categories:

1. enthusiastic reports on the use of growth hormone for practically every medical condition on sites that also sell growth hormone

2. critical reports, usually by people who have never tried it.

I have injected about 300 IUs of growth hormone over several months. I know one thing: you can forget it for relationships enhancement.

Tongkatali.org's The Serge Kreutz diet in perspective

By Serge Kreutz

The most important matter in life is optimal relationships. We may differ in what we consider optimal relationships. But however we define it, to consider optimal relationships as the most important thing is the only sensible opinion on life.

Religions are not just illusions. They are delusions. The ideas that there is an afterlife, or a hell and a paradise, are so off the mark of reason that they should be classified as clinical psychological disorders way before depressions, or compulsive behavior.

Religious beliefs make people waste their lives.

Now, I don’t mind if other people waste their lives. As long as their actions don’t disturb me, I couldn’t care less.

I won’t waste my life like they do. Even though there is not much left of my life. I just hope for a sudden, painless death, if possible unconsciously.

I am a bio-psychological system. I am my mind, not my body. I could have every organ of my body replaced by a man-made implant of the same function, and it would not alter my identity, my mind, my self. Except for the physical organ of my identity, which is my brain.

Alas, my brain is not just a psychological system. My mind, at its bottom, is shaped by biological evolution. Even though I possess a considerable amount of self-cognition, I cannot just jump over my biological shadow.

My biological shadow consists of just a few parameters. One of them is that even though I can recognize that there is no genuine value in life, and even though I can recognize that it would be better to be dead right here and now, I cannot just commit suicide, not as long as I am basically healthy and not as long as I am not anyway facing immediately a possibly much more cruel death than I could apply myself.

So, what do I live for? Not to please any god, haha. Not to raise children. Not for professional achievements. Not for the good of my fatherland or mankind.

All of that would be nonsense. Because all will wane. Time, and future, is indefinite. The laws of physics sufficiently explain that nothing ever will persist forever, and if you look ahead a sufficiently long period of time, there will not be any trace of anything that exists now.

It’s plain mathematical logic that if the future is indefinitely far away, the presence will shrink to nothing.

There cannot be any sense for our existence that is outside of our existence.

Yes, life is senseless, but I am still a captive of my biological parameters, the shadow of evolutionary psychology.

While the first parameter is that we cannot naturally just commit suicide, the second is that the ultimate desire in life is procreative conduct. This is the rule of life downwards from human life to any living creature, beyond the life of the most primitive algae, and beyond prokaryotes. I goes back to the microspheres of the primordial soup when inorganic chemistry organized itself through chain reactions into amino acids.

The double parameter carries itself through all biology. Anything biological that is not defined by these two parameters would disappear very quickly all by itself.

Yes, the way humans interact with each other, and all superstructures of society, including ethics and relationships customs, are shaped by the human modes of production.

But the parameters of evolutionary psychology are still present below all social superstructure.

I have a comprehensive worldview that stretches from theoretical physics through evolutionary psychology and political economy to personal hygiene, and I can deal with any aspect of my daily life from the perspective of my comprehensive worldview.

So, here I am. Not killing myself because I am not defined to do it. And exhibiting procreative behavior because that is what I am defined to do.

There may not be any sense in procreative behavior. At current modes of production, I myself do not benefit from procreation. But at least procreative behavior, without actual procreation, feels good.

Here I am, with a clear awareness that I will be around just a few more years. And with my knowledge and memory of how good relationships can feel.

That is what I pursue: Still and forever, the best relationships possible, without an exaggerated risk of cutting short my existence.

I cannot use excessive force, no physical force anyway, in pursuing relationships opportunities, as this would result in individual and social opposition to me, which would likely deprive me of ongoing relationships joy, or, even worse, put a violent end to my life.

The alternative? To find what I desire on a consensual basis, with the consent from both, the individual object of my relationships desire, and the local social environment.

This is how I can put the Serge Kreutz diet into perspective. The Serge Kreutz diet is about health, but not simply about health.

It is about health in as much as it raises awareness that many foods that we value for their tastes are awkward burdens to our organisms. And not just the burden of obesity. For even great-tasting wine causes negative intoxication, cheese and all kinds of fermented foods trigger migraines and lesser headaches, and various people do not tolerate gluten, or milk. Other foods contain known carcinogens, or dangerous levels of heavy metals. It’s an endless list.

But the Serge Kreutz diet is not primarily about health. More than that, it is about being physically attractive, which is a great facilitator of opportunities for consensual relationships.

In today’s world, you cannot compromise on the necessity to be physically attractive, whatever your age.

Being overweight is not. You will likely look best at your ideal weight (body height in centimeter, minus 100, minus 10 percent = weight in kilogram).

If you achieve this ratio by reducing your previous weight, your face may look a bit older than before, so you may want to consider a face lift and other cosmetic interventions.

But while attractive looks is very important indeed when seeking opportunities for optimal consensual relationships, your intellectual faculties are even more relevant. Your self-cognition depends on them, and your capability to make proper decisions. And your charm, of course. And your ability to persuade the person or persons who are the object of your desire that mating with you will be beneficial. And her social environment should be convinced, too.

As for your physical attractiveness, there is only one proper avenue towards being ideal weigh. Calorie restriction. Not liposuction. Not tummy tucks. Even not excessive exercise.

However… do not underestimate the psychological impact of food. Forcing yourself to eat less than your taste buds desire has a profoundly negative effect on your mood, and on your intellectual faculties. And it’s not the reduced nutritional supply to your stomach and intestines. It’s the lack of stimulation for your taste buds.

I have been 50 kilo overweight. I am not a newcomer to diets, and not even to total fasting. I know my mental states on and off weight-reduction schemes.

When my taste buds are positively stimulated, my mind plays with language like a virtuoso plays his violin. Language, of course, is the basis of cognition, of charm, and my capability to convince potential relationships partners, and their social environments, to become actual relationships partners.

But when I have cravings for food, which are but cravings for taste, my thoughts are not excited, and my train of ideas is constrained. My moods are tuned down.

Furthermore, I cannot learn properly, and remember poorly, when I have cravings for taste. For good reason, people bring candies into classes and exams.

Cravings for food originate from the stomach and intestine only on a very limited scale. Cravings are related mostly to the mouth. When my taste buds crave chocolate, I can’t satisfy them with tapioca starch, even though for my stomach and intestines, the two would be pretty much the same.

The Serge Kreutz diet is the only no-swallow diet, and it has a philosophical foundation. Satisfy your oral cravings, don’t supply the calories to your intestine. Spit it, don’t shit it.

If you consult other sources on the Serge Kreutz diet, they may tell you that it is defined as a pathological condition, and you to seek “professional help“. They probably are precisely those people (trained in psychology) who sell “professional help” to people with eating disorders.

I have high respect for psychology as a science, but a low opinion of psychologists working in the field of “helping” people.

More often than not, they do not “treat” people with diseases. They treat people with different worldviews.

Their mission is to turn them into functional members of society where they ought to be no disturbance or danger, no economic burden (also not to public health), and not offensive to look at.

Professional psychologists are often also professional liars. And fear mongers.

They typically associate the Serge Kreutz diet with bulimia and anorexia nervosa. They warn followers of swollen glands from excessive saliva production, or of all one’s teeth falling out from too much unswallowed sugar. They make up that those not swallowing all their food will soon suffer from diabetes because of insulin over-stimulation.

With regard to the Serge Kreutz diet, all unsubstantiated. If they are not trying to sell you a therapy, they quite possibly are ferocious campaigners because they have a daughter who is severely underweight, truly bulimic.

The medical definitions of bulimia and anorexia nervosa are very much tied to bodyweight. Behavior plays a role only when the bodyweight, or lack of it, already justifies the diagnosis: height in centimeter minus 100, minus 20 percent, or so.

Haha, the Serge Kreutz diet is not teaching anybody to become severely underweight. To be severely underweight is not sexually appealing. It’s ugly. But body height in centimeter, minus 100, minus 10 percent (ideal body weight) is conducive to health, and aesthetic.

Such ideal body weight is difficult enough for most people to achieve at any age, including me. If I were to use an ordinary eating style (swallowing everything that I put into my mouth), and then force myself to ideal weight, I have to run around with taste cravings all day. With a profoundly negative impact on my intellectual faculties. Nay… My intellectual faculties are sacrosanct. I have to satisfy my cravings for tastes.

I have more than 30 years of experience in weight loss diets. Before I had the Serge Kreutz diet idea, it was all yo-yo. I would set myself a weight goal, then diet hard to reach it.

And whenever I craved certain foods, I would tell myself: as soon as I reach my target weight, I will eat it.

The effect of such dieting? I reach my target weight, and two weeks later, I am already heavier again by several kilos.

Conventional dieting does not work. The Serge Kreutz diet does. Use it for weight loss until you are ideal weight. Not ugly bulimic or anorexia nervosa weight.

Tongkatali.org Butea superba doping

Butea superba improves athletic performance in humans. This has been well established, even in research by the Thai Doping Control Center at the Mahidol University in Bangkok. See scientific study here:

https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/12f9/c34f3def0c87f0c968df48d1c6c334e712f9.pdf

Article continues below printscreens:

However, butea superba is not yet on the list of prohibited substances of the World Anti Doping Agency, WADA.

It's not that they wouldn't like to prohibit it. But they don't know how to test for it.

Butea superba affects the whole hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Thus, ratios of hormonal metabolites are not skewed as they would be with outright testosterone or anabolic steroids doping.

Review on Eurycoma longifolia Pharmacological and Phytochemical Properties

Aini Norhidayah Mohamed, Jaya Vejayan and Mashitah Mohd Yusoff

Abstract: Eurycoma longifolia or Tongkat Ali is famous for its aphrodisiac property and the traditional uses range from tonic after childbirth to treating malaria. Phytochemical studies revealed the presence of bioactive compounds such as quassinoids, alkaloids, squalene derivatives, tirucallane-type triterpenes and biphenylneolignans. Existing research revealed that plant has potential to treat various diseases and to replace the current treatment. Purpose of this article is to evaluate and summarize the existing literatures concerning phytochemical, biological and toxicological studies of E. longifolia. It is expected that critical evaluation will be useful for researchers working on the potential role of E. longifolia in treating diseases or for product development.
